Serving Our People

We believe a church should be intentional in being welcoming, inclusive, and safe for all of God’s people. Therefore we offer opportunities for fun, worship, spiritual growth and personal development.

Happenings at Faith Church

Called to Care—a ministry by all members to the chronically ill and the homebound. A group of lay members assist the minister in being a presence to those who suffer illness or loneliness.

Winter Friends—an organization spearheaded by our retired winter residents. They serve the church through specific projects, they host one Sunday service a year (Winter Friends Sunday) and they are constantly putting together social outings for all who are interested.

FEAST—a monthly potluck evening to get to know each other socially.

Education Opportunities

We have hosted speakers like John Dominic Crossan, John Shelby Spong and Hal Taussig in our quest for exploring our faith together. We also create opportunities for study in smaller groups, and we have a Sunday school class for our children.

Living the Questions is a series we have presented at Faith Church.

3-D—is a bi-weekly meeting that “discusses, debates and discovers” together. We focus on contentious issues and welcome all ideas and contributions with no need for final answers. We celebrate diverse ideas and thinking.
Time and Talent Auction—is an annual fun and fund-raising event with a “mystery auctioneer” always presented in fancy dress. Rumor has it that the “mystery auctioneer” is in actual fact our own minister though these reports need yet to be confirmed…

Friendship Groups—this is a ministry that will soon offer opportunities for people getting together in smaller groups and determining their own agendas and content. Our intent is community building.

Handy Helpers—is a group who serve the church by working on the honey-do list of the church.

We offer various opportunities for serving one another at Faith Church. All our members are encouraged to become involved in a part of our church life for which they have a passion. There is a place for everyone to belong and serve.
